WE ARE OPEN (with limitations)
TO OUR PATIENTS REGARDING CLINIC AND PHARMACY OPERATION:
In an effort to keep exposure of the COVID-19 virus to a minimum…The clinic is currently opened by appointment ONLY to all patients regarding office visits. We will, however still be dispensing medication for all of our current patients. You will just call in your medication for refill as normal and dispensing will take place on Thursday.
If you are OUT OF REFILLS (there are none left on your bottle or you have been notified that you need to see a doctor for refills) you will need to call the clinic at 726-4562. Doctors are reviewing refills by telemedicine. Be prepared to leave your name and a GOOD contact phone number and someone WILL call you back.
In regards to Pharmacy pick up on Thursdays: It will run during normal hours but will have adjustments made to the process. Please come prepared to wait and be patient. We are doing our best to make sure you are taken care of during this time. Call your refills on the pharmacy line at 726-4527.
TO OUR POTENTIAL NEW PATIENTS:
We are working towards a place and process for new patients. You may call the clinic at 252-726-4562 to speak with an advocate regarding an application or you can download one from our website www.broadstreetclinic.org. This will need to be filled out completely and have required documentation to go with it (this includes records from your current and/or prior doctors). We must request these and it sometimes takes time to receive them. Once we have received the required documentation an advocate will reach out to you to set up an appointment. We must follow processes set up to keep you and everyone else safe, please be patient.

Although the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has enabled some low income individuals to obtain health insurance, it is also true that the need for the charity care given by The Broad Street Clinic will continue. Many of our patients fall into a “coverage gap”– unable to afford insurance and not qualifying for a subsidy. Further, they may qualify for one of the many exemptions and not have to pay the fine for being uninsured.
