Pharmacy Operations – Thursdays Only

Pharmacy services are available exclusively on Thursdays. Our dedicated Pharmacy Manager, Karen Bridges, often begins her day before 8:00 a.m. to prepare as many as 300 prescriptions for our patients.

Pharmacy hours are:
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Please note: We do not dispense any Class II narcotics. The strongest medication available through our pharmacy is 800 mg ibuprofen.

Pharmacy Refills & Pick-Up

Refills: Please call in your refill request as usual.

Pick-Up: Medications can be picked up on Thursdays during normal pharmacy hours.

Out of Refills?

If your prescription bottle shows no refills remaining or you’ve been informed that a doctor visit is required:

Call the clinic at 252-726-4562
Leave your full name and a reliable contact number
A provider will review your refill request via telemedicine and a staff member will return your call

Head Pharmacist:

Karen Bridges, PharmD has been a valued member of the Broad Street Clinic team since 2020, beginning as a dedicated volunteer before stepping into the role of Pharmacy Manager in 2024. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

With over 25 years of experience in a wide range of pharmacy settings—including hospitals, long-term care, compounding, and medication therapy management (MTM) services—Karen brings deep expertise and a patient-centered approach to her work at the clinic.

Originally from Massachusetts, Karen has called Beaufort, North Carolina home for more than a decade. Her commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare and her passion for serving the community continue to make a meaningful impact on the patients and mission of the Broad Street Clinic.
